log of 2 (0.5). I do know the answer is -1 (from the back of my text book's answers to the problem), but the log calculator on this web site had the answer as 0 because it was needed 0 divisions to get to 1. Please explain .

You can put this solution on YOUR website! You're not reading it right. You've got to know exactly what
the expression means before you can solve it.
Read it like this:
"The log to the base 2 which gives me 1/2 is what?"
Or what means the same thing:
"What power do I raise 2 to in order to get 1/2?"
