Question 80362: Hi, I need help with this. Can anyone lend a hand? Here it is:
If the expression: - 8w-5 over 6w+5 is to make sense, the values that w can take must be restricted. State the restriction on w.
I'm not too sure how to type it but it looks something like this:
8w-5
- ----
6w+5
Thank you so much for any help!! Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! The denominator, 6w+5, must not be zero; when is that?
6w+5=0 when w=-5/6
So, w can be any Real Number except w= -5/6
