You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distance traveled by both trains together = 120 miles
west bound train speed be x
east bound train speed = (x+8)
They are moving away so add up speeds . x+x+8=2x+8 mph
t=d/r
2=120/(2x+8)
2x+8 =120/2
2x+8 =60
2x=60-8
2x=52
x=27 mph
speed of east bound train = 27 mph
the other will be 27+8 = 35 mph
