Get the the x term alone on one side of the equation:
sin2x=-1%2F2
Take the inverse sin of both sides:
arcsin%28sin2x%29=arcsin%28-1%2F2%29
Solve for x:
2x=-30 and 2x=210 (recall that sin is negative in Quadrants 3+4)
x=-15+degrees and x=105+degrees
