Factor the top and the bottom so you can look for opportunities to cancel things:
%28%28x%2B10%29%28x-4%29%29%2F%28%28x%2B10%29%28x-10%29%29
Now you can cancel out the (x+10) terms in the numerator and denominator and you are left with:
highlight%28%28x-4%29%2F%28x-10%29%29
