You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If 12 men mow a field of 40 acres in 8 days working 10 hours a day
Find how many man-hrs required to mow 1 acre
%28%2812%2A8%2A10%29%29%2F40 = 24 man-hrs per acre (Must be doing it by hand)
:
how many days will it take 20 men to mow a field of 60 acres working at 6 hours a day?
let d = no. of days to do this
20*6*d = 60 * 24
120d = 1440
d = 1440/120
d = 12 days
:
I'm not sure how you got 5.3 hrs

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
d = k*a/(m*h)
Solve for "k" using "12 men mow a field of 40 acres in 8 days working 10 hours a day"
8 = k*40/(12*10)
k = 24
-------
Equation:
d = 16*a/(m*h)
-----
how many days will it take 20 men to mow a field of 60 acres working at 6 hours a day?
days = 16*60/(20*6)
---
days = 8
