Question 800859: A computer is being lowered slowly into the ocean from a platform at the surface, to a crew working on a shelf below. At this moment it is 210 feet below the surface and is being lowered at the rate of 150 feet every 30 minutes. Assume that the rate at which the computer is being lowered remains constant for the whole trip. Represent the depth as a negative number. I need to write an expressions and can't figure it out.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A computer is being lowered slowly into the ocean from a platform at the surface, to a crew working on a shelf below. At this moment it is 210 feet below the surface and is being lowered at the rate of 150 feet every 30 minutes. Assume that the rate at which the computer is being lowered remains constant for the whole trip. Represent the depth as a negative number.
-------
d(t) = 120 + (150/30)t
OR
d(t) = 120 + 5t where t is the number of minutes after the computer
has reached 120 ft.
