You can put this solution on YOUR website!
7%2F3-x%2F3=x%2F4
First, get the "x" terms on one side of the equation:
x%2F4%2Bx%2F3=7%2F3
Now you need to add these two fractions on the left side of the equation. Use the same approach as adding any fraction - first find the LCD and rewrite the fractions in terms of this LCD. In this case, the LCD is 12. So we have:
3x%2F12%2B4x%2F12=7%2F3
Now, you can add the fractions on the left side:
7x%2F12=7%2F3
And solve for x:
7x=12%2A7%2F3
7x=28
highlight%28x=4%29
Good Luck,
