The area of a trapezoid is 240 cm2. The height is 20 cm and the length of one of the parallel sides is 6 cm. Find the length of the second parallel side. Round off your answer to two decimal places.

Area of trapezoid, or A = %28h%28b%5B1%5D+%2B+b%5B2%5D%29%29%2F2, with:

h being height

b%5B1%5D being base 1 (one of the bases of the trapezoid)

b%5B2%5D being base 2 (one of the bases of the trapezoid)

Solve for one of the bases and do a check. You should get highlight_green%2818%29 cm as the length of the longer base.
