Question 795164: A home builder claims they can build over 300,000 different configurations of a given house. The builder allows the buyers to select options for their new house as follows: 8 different brick colors, 5 shutter colors, 4 flooring options in each of the 5 rooms, 3 types of kitchen appliance packages, 9 different paint colors in each of the 5 rooms and 3 different lighting package styles.
I think I'm supposed to multiply all the options by each other, but the flooring and paint colors parts confuse me because they both say in each of the five rooms. Do I multiply everything by 5 both of those times?
