You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if Michael is 9 years old and his father is 32, in how many years will Michael’s age be one-half of his father’s age?
:
Let y = no. of year for this to be true
y + 9 = 1%2F2(y+32)
Multiply both sides by 2
2(y+9) = y + 32
2y + 18 = y + 32
2y - y = 32 - 18
y = 14 yrs for this to be true

Check it:
M: 9 + 14 = 23
D: 32 + 14 = 46
