12 + 16 (1/2)x - (1/2)x = (3/4)x - (1/2)x -16 + 16
28 = (1/4)x
4(28) = 4(1/4)x
112 = x
check:
(1/2)112 + 12 = (3/4)112 - 16
56 + 12 = 84 - 16
68 = 68
