By data, the perimetr of the rectangle is given by 43 inches.
And the length of the rectangle is 7 in
2(7) + 2w = 43
14 + 2w = 43
2w = 43 - 14
2w = 29
Hence, w = 
w = 14.5
Thus, the width of the rectangle is w = 14.5 in
