You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5(g-3)=2g+3
5g-15=2g+3 (use the ditributive property to multipy 5 by all terms within the parenthesis]
.
5g-15+15=2g+3+15
5g=2g+18
5g-2g=2g-2g+18
3g=18
3g/3=18/3
g=6
.
check by plugging g=4 back into the original equation and solve:
5(g-3)=2g+3
5[(6)-3]=2(6)+3
5(3)=12+3
15=15 [checks out]
