In pocket: A
Spent: x + 0.08x + 0.15x = 1.23x
A(x) = Ao - 1.23x
b.) If Paul has $46 in his pocket, what is the maximum amount they could spend on food for dinner?

Amount they could spend for FOOD = 46%2F1.23, or $37.39837398 ≈ $highlight_green%2837.40%29
