Question 792356: Please help! I have a SERIOUS exam tomorrow and I know this will be on it! I have no idea how to do this!
With the use of a calculator, use the equation for gravitational force to calculate the force of gravity acting on a 60 kg man at the surface of the earth. The radius of the earth is 6.371 x 106 m, the mass of the earth is 5.972 x 1024 kg, and the gravitational constant, G, is 6.67 x 10-11 m3/kg•s2.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
With the use of a calculator, use the equation for gravitational force to calculate the force of gravity acting on a 60 kg man at the surface of the earth. The radius of the earth is 6.371 x 106 m, the mass of the earth is 5.972 x 1024 kg, and the gravitational constant, G, is 6.67 x 10-11 m3/kg•s2.

the formula for g
g=+G%2AM%2Am%2Fr%5E2
G = 6.67 x 10^(-11) m3/kg•s2.
M=5.972 x 10^24 kg,
m= 60 kg
r= 6.371 x 10^6 m
plug the values of each in the equation
g=+%286.67+%2A+10%5E%28-11%29+%2A5.972+%2A+10%5E24%29%2F%286.371%2A10%5E6%29%5E2
g= 9.81m/s^2
