Question 791277: /you have 1,500 square blocks. what is the largest number of blocks you can use to construct a cube?
I know how to find if a number is a perfect cube or square, but I'm not completely sure what they are asking me. 1444 is a perfect cube...

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

What makes you think that 1444 is a perfect cube? 1331 is a perfect cube, and 1728 is the very next perfect cube (11 and 12, respectively).

With 1500 blocks, you can create an 11 X 11 X 11 cube, but if you try to create a 12 X 12 X 12 cube, you will be 228 blocks short.
