To solve triangles that are not right triangles,
like , you need to know at least the length of one side, and two more measurements (angles or sides).
You can use:
A%2BB%2BC=180%5Eo,
law of sines: sin%28A%29%2Fa=sin%28B%29%2Fb=sin%28C%29%2Fc, and
law of cosimes: a%5E2=b%5E2%2Bc%5E2-2ab%2Acos%28A%29.

If you have an angle and the opposite side (plus another angle or side), you would use law of sines.
If you do not have an angle/side pair opposite each other, you have no choice but to use law of cosines.
