Isolate V2 in this formula:

You know, variables are like people in that they can choose to mingle with other variables such as their significant others here, V1 and f, or they can isolate themselves on one side of the equation there like f and be all special. I am telling it to you straight
I think V2 has to get all by itself on the left side there like f is now

You can see how V2 is starting to separate itself from V1 there. This is just the Distributive Law where I can multiply 2.05 by V1 and V2 both at once or separately. And I can multiply 3.05 by V2 and V1 both at once or separately.
Now you can see the V2 terms spot each other and mingle close together and join up with the Distributive Law again applying so V2 times two different numbers then added is the two numbers added times V2
