You can put this solution on YOUR website!
if 38 men working 6hr a day can do a piece of work in 12days,
Find the number man-hrs required to do the job
38*6*12 = 2736 man-hrs to complete the job
:
Find in what time 57 men working 8hr a day can do a piece of work twice as great
A job twice as great would require: 2*2736 = 5472 man-hrs
Let d = no. of days required for 57 men to do twice as much work
57*8*d = 5472
456d = 5472
d = 5472/456
d = 12 days
:
Supposing 2 men of the first set to do as much work in 1hr as 3men of the 2nd set can do in 1.5 hrs ?
