Question 78726: Write the equation of the line with given slope and y -intercept. Then graph each line using the slope and y- intercept.

Slope: 5; y-intercept: (0, -2)

You can put this solution on YOUR website! The standard equation of a line is y = mx + b, where m is the slope, and b = y- intercept.

Hence, this question is fairly direct, it is simply a matter of plugging in.

y = 5x -2

For the y-intercept the only important part is the -2, a y- intercept always has 0 as the first coordinate part.

For example, if it says y-intercept: (0, 3), then b is simply 3, this is just a side example, having nothing to do with your specific question.
