You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The sum of the measures of two complementary angles exceeds the difference of the measures of their supplements by 45 degree.
Find the measure of each angle. Thanks.
:
Two angles A & B
:
A + B = 90; (Sum of two complementary angles)
:
(180-A) - (180-B) = 90 = 90 - 45
180 - A - 180 + B = 45
-A + B = 45
+A + B = 90
--------------adding eliminates A, find B
2B = 135
B = 135/2
B = 67.5 degrees
then
90 - 67.5 = 22.5 degrees, the measure of A
