Question 78613: please help me find the missing coordinate in the solutions for 3x-y+=-7
a. (?, 7) B. (2, ?)
another propblem I have is
4x + y =5 by plotting points I need at least three I am so confused please help

You can put this solution on YOUR website! find the missing coordinate in the solutions for 3x-y+=-7
a. (?, 7)
If y=7 you get 3x-7=-7; 3x=0; x=0
---------------
B. (2, ?)
If x=2 you get 3*2-y=-7; y=6+7; y=13
-----------------
another problem I have is
4x + y =5 by plotting points I need at least three
If x=0, y=5
If y=0,x=5/4
if x=-1, y=9
==================

Answer by nihon64(5) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4x + y =5
(0,5)(1,1)(2,-3)
4x+y=5
Since 4x does not contain the variable to solve for, move it to the right-hand side of the equation by subtracting 4x from both sides.
y=-4x+5
To find the slope and y intercept, use the y=mx+b formula where m=slope and b is the y intercept.
y=mx+b
Using the y=mx+b formula, m=-4 and b=5.
m=-4, b=5
