You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2%5E%28x%2B4%29=8
Take the log of both sides of the equation. You can see
that using log(base2) will be advantageous here:
log(base2)(2^(x+4))=log(base2)(8)
Use one of the algebraic property of logarithms to simplify left side:
(x+4)log(base2)(2)=log(base2)(8)
Taking the log(base2) of both of 2 and 8 allows further simplification:
(x+4)=3
Solve for x:
x=-1
