Question 785544: Dues Tattoo's is trying to figure out how many tattoos will need to be done in order to pay the bills. You are selling a 2 color type A tattoos for $50 and a 3 color type B tattoos for $90. Since everyone likes different tattoos, your average weekly sales consists of a minimum of 20 type A and 15 type B tattoos. Dues Tattoos can produce 80 tattoos week maximum. If the cost of the paint for each color is $12 and the copyright pattern is $8 for the Type A and $18 for the type B, how many of each type of tattoo should Dues Tattoos make to maximize profit?
Answer by xinxin(76) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Profit of one type A tattoo = 50 - 2*12 - 8 = $18
Profit of one type B tattoo = 90 - 3*12 - 18 = $36
To maximize profit, Dues Tattoos have to sell more type B tattoos than type A. On average they have minimum sales figures of 20 type A and 15 type B, but they cannot produce more than 80 tattoos; therefore they can have maximum profit by making 20 type A and 60 type B.
