how do you work out 2 4/5 divided by 3 1/3?

Mixed numbers are not useful, change to fractions.
= 14/5 divided by 10/3
Invert the divisor and mutliply
= (14/5)*(3/10)
= 42/10
= 21/5 or 4.2
