since %28x%5E2-16+%29++ is denominator, domain will be all real numbers x except value of x that makes denominator equal to zero and these are:

%28x-4%29%28x%2B4%29=0++
if
%28x-4%29=0++=> x=4
or
if
%28x%2B4%29=0++=> x=-4
so, vertical asymptotes are: x=4 and x=-4
