You can put this solution on YOUR website!

In this exercise,(a) find f(0),(b) solve f(x)=0. f(x)=-1/2 x + 5
a) Find f(0), f(x)= -1/2 x + 5
f(0)= -1/2 (0) + 5
= 0 + 5
= 5

b) Solve f(x) = 0, f(x)= -1/2 x + 5
0 = -1/2 x + 5 add 1/2x both sides
1/2x = 5 multiply both sided by 1/2
x = 10
