Presuming that Jaime is a boy and Rosa is a girl (you never really know these days), then if is the number of boys in the family, is the number of Rosa's brothers and is the number of Jaime's brothers, and if is the number of girls, is the number of Jaime's sisters and is the number of Rosa's sisters.

So if Jaime's brothers equal his sisters:



And if Rosa's brothers are twice the number of her sisters:
