Equation for slope.
y2 - y1/x2 - x1
Using (x,3) and (5,9)
9 - 3/5 - x = 2
6/(5 - x) = 2
Cross multiply
6 = 2(5 - x)
6 = 10 - 2x
6 - 10 = -2x
-4 = -2x
x = 2
y2 - y1/x2 - x1
9 - 3/5 - 2
6/3 = 2
Hope this helps.

Use the slope formula:

where and are the coordinates of the given points.

Just substitute the 4 numbers you do know and solve for the fifth.
