7x + 9y = 120...2
Multiply (1) by 9
9x + 9y = 144...3
7x + 9y = 120...2
Subtract (2) from (3)
2x = 24
x = 12
Substitute x = 12 into (1)
12 + y = 16
y = 16 - 12
y = 4
Ariel purchased 12 Student
tickets and 4 Adult tickets
