multiply both sides by (y-3)
3y + 2 = x(y-3)
3y + 2 = xy - 3x
3y -xy = - 3x - 2
Factor out y
y(3-x) = -3x - 2
Divide both sides by (3-x)
y = %28%28-3x-2%29%29%2F%28%283-x%29%29; close to what you got
You can get rid of all those negatives, mult by -1/-1
y = %28%283x%2B2%29%29%2F%28%28x-3%29%29
