You can put this solution on YOUR website! If the length of a rectangle is 3 times the width, and the perimeter is 22, then all you have to do is do it algebraicly. Make the width a variable, considerably w . make length 3w.
w+3w=22
4w=22
w=22/4
w=5.5
to figure out length, do 3 * w. you get 16.5.
width is 5.5 length is 16.5
