x distance is 9-(-1)=10 & the mid point is 9-10/2=9-5=4
y distance is 3-(-9)=12 & the mid point is 3-12/2=3-6=-3
thus the midpoint is(4,-3)
the prove is in the graphing of these points, draw a line and measure the mid point.
