x quarters ----> 25x cents (for all quarters)

(x+4) dimes ----> 10(x+4) = 10x + 40 cents (for all dimes)

2 nickels ----> 2*5 = 10 cents (for all nickels)

Now add up the subtotals:

(total amount for quarters) + (total amount for dimes) + (total amount for nickels)

(25x) + (10x+40) + (10)

25x + 10x+40 + 10

35x + 50
