Debbie = 2x years
4 years ag
jerry's age = x-4
Debbie's age 2x-4
2x-4=3(x-4)
2x-4=3x-12
3x-2x=12-4
x=8
jerry's age = 8 years
Debbie's age = 8*2=16 years
