Question 781762: 1. A salesman has a 60% chance of making a sale to any one customer. The behaviour of successive customers is independent. If two customers A and B enter, what is the probability that the salesman will make a sale to A or B. Answer by oscargut(2103) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! P(sale)= 0.6
P(not sale)= 0.4
P(sale A or B) = P(Sale A)+P(sale B) - P(sale A and B)
= 0.6+0.6 -0.6(0.6) = 1.2-0.36 = 0.84
Answer: 0.84
