5x+8+3x-x+5=6x-3
Add up the x's and the numbers on the LHS.
7x+13=6x-3
Subtract 6x from each side of the equation.
7x+13-6x=6x-3-6x
x+13=-3
Subtract 13 from each side of the equation.
x+13+13=-3-13
x=-16
