Question 78101: Factor the polynomial completely, clearly show the GCF.
2x^3+2x^2-12x
I got this far...
2x^3+2x^2-12x
2x(x^2+2x-6)
2x(x+ )(x- )
Now im having problems...

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
THE GIVEN POLYNOMIAL IS:

2x%5E3+%2B+2x%5E2+-+12x+

Here we observe that 2x can be taken as the common factor (as done by u)

2xx%5E2+%2B+x+-+6

2x+x%5E2+%2B+3x+-+2x+-+6

2x+x%28x+%2B+3%29+-+2%28x+%2B+3%29

2x+%28x+%2B+3%29%28x+-+2%29+

Hence, the expression after factorization is given by:

2x(x + 3)( x - 2)

hence, the solution
