You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If Kayla and Anthony have 300 pieces of candy altogether, In fact kayla has 3 imes as many candies as Anthony. How many candies does kayla have?
A= Kayla
B = Anthony
A+B =300
A(3)+ B = 300
I'm really stuck from here
Let amount Anthony and Kayla have be A and K, respectively
Then A + K = 300 -------- eq (i)
It's given that Kayla, or K = 3A
A + 3A = 300 -------- Substituting 3A for K in eq (i)
4A = 300
A, or amount Anthony has = , or pieces of candy.
K, or Kayla has 3 * 75, or pieces of candy.
You can do the check!!
