Question 77953: Points R, S, and T are collinear, with point S between points R and T. If RT = 30, and ST = 2x + 4, what is the possible range of values for x? Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! if RT=30 and S lies between R and T then ST must be greater than 0 and less than 30...given ST=2x+4 then... 0 < 2x+4 < 30
subtracting 4 gives... -4 < 2x < 26 ...dividing by 2 gives... -2 < x < 13
