TO FIND THE SLOPE (Y2-Y1)/(X2-X1)
(1-2)/(-4+5)=-1/1=-1 FOR THE SLOPE (m)
NOW SUBSTITUTE ONE SET OF POINTS IN THE FORMULA & SOLVE FOR THE Y INTERCEPT (b):
2=-1*-5+b
2=5+b
b=2-5
b=-3 THIS IS THE Y INTERCEPT (0,-3)
NOW WE HAVE THE FORMULA
Y=-X-3
