You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If I am asked to solve for l, using the surface are of a prism (s=2lw+2lh+2wh) and I am not given any numbers, how do I solve for l?
----------
You isolate L on one side of the equal sign.
s=2lw+2lh+2wh
s/2 = LW + LH + WH
s/2 - WH = LW + LH
s/2 - WH = L*(W + H)
(s/2 - WH)/(W + H) = L
