You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do I find the x for complementary angles on this equation (5x+8)+(2x-1)?
--------
If those are complementary angles,
(5x+8)+(2x-1) = 90 degrees
7x + 7 = 90
7x = 83
x = 83/7
---------
5x + 8 = 67.29 degrees
2x-1 = 2(83/7) -1 = 22.71 degrees
