Question 779042: You are a prisoner in a very sporting jail. The jailer decides to give you and two other prisoners the chance to go free. He shows all three of you that he has three white hats and two black hats in a box.
Each prisoner is then blindfolded with one of the five hats placed on your head. The jailer tells the group that when the blindfold is removed you will be able to see the hats that the other two prisoners are wearing but not your own and not the two remaining in the box.
The prisoner who gives the correct answer following the removal of his blindfold will be free to go, the two who answer incorrectly will be locked away.
The jailer removes all three blindfolds together allowing you to see the other two prisoners are wearing white hats. After a few moments you give your answer to the jailer.
What is your answer?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"After a few moments" is the key here.

The other prisoners also could see each other and you. They also were not sure what to say. That can only happen if each of them also had seen 2 white hats. This means you were also wearing a white hat.

So your answer should be you are wearing a white hat.
Cheers!
