x = 80/0.40

x = 200

# of men = 200-80 = 120

Using the formula below how can you get the correct answer?

With 40%, or 80 employees being women, and with E being the amount of employees,
we get:

part%2Fwhole+=+percent%2F100, or 80%2FE+=+.4%2F1

.4E = 80 ------- Cross-multiplying

E, or amount of employees = 80%2F.4, or 200

As 60% of these 200 employees are men, we can say that the number of men = .6+%2A+200, or highlight_green%28120%29

OR

part%2Fwhole+=+percent%2F100, or M%2F200+=+.6%2F1

Number of men, or M = .6 * 200 ------- Cross-multiplying
