I think you meant HOURLY or REGULAR RATE, not HOURLY WAGE.

Let his hourly rate be H
Then his overtime hourly rate = 1˝H, or %283%2F2%29H, or 3H%2F2

Then: 40H+%2B+10%283H%2F2%29+=+440

40H + 5(3H) = 440

40H + 15H = 440

55H = 440

H, or his hourly wage = 440%2F55, or $highlight_green%288%29
