= 9 minus (24 divided by 6) times 5 plus 7
= 9 minus 4 times 5 plus 7
= 9 minus (4 times 5) plus 7
= 9 minus 20 plus 7
= 9 minus (20 plus 7)
= 9 minus 27
= -18
