You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x = angle
complement of the angle = 90 - x
supplement of the angle = 180 - x
supplement of the angle is 18 less than 4 times the complement of the angle:
(180 - x) - 18 = (90 - x) ( 4)
.
162 - x = 360 - 4x
Combine the like terms
162 - 360 = -4x + x
-198 = - 3x
66 = x
Proof:
complement of the angle = 90 - 66 = 24
supplement of the angle = 180 - 66 = 114
114 - 18 = (24)(4)
96 = 96
