Question 777753: How to solve for "C" in this equation?
Hi, I am doing algebra review. it has been a while! Can you please explain each step with a small sentence of what you are doing?
If you have to "factor out", can you explain what that is?..
My problem is P+N=C+2/C I have to solve for C.
Any feedback and advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
My problem is P+N=C+2/C I have to solve for C.
I presume it is P%2BN=%28c%2B2%29%2Fc
We need c in the numerator
multiply the equation by c
we get
c%28P%2BN%29=%28C%2B2%29%2Ac%2Fc
C(P+N)=C+2
we remove C from the right side by adding -c
C(P+N)-C=C+2-C
C(P+N)-C=2
C is common
C((P+N)-1)=2
C(P+N-1)=2
divide by (P+N-1)
C=+2%2F%28P%2BN-1%29
